Train Harder.
Recover Faster.
Win More.
Most fighters train hard. Few train smart. The Combat Athlete program is built for those who want to get serious in their sport, with conditioning matched to the three energy systems combat sports demand.
MMA · Boxing · Kickboxing · BJJ · Grappling · Fight camp preparation available
You fight well, but your conditioning holds you back. In the last round you have less power, less sharpness. We change that.
Camp preparation built around your fight date, weight class and opponent analysis. Peak form when it matters.
Hitting hard, a strong clinch or a dominant ground game all start with strength. We build that foundation.
Combat sports are hard on joints, tendons and ligaments. Triphasic Training structurally strengthens those structures.
Measured in endurance, recovery speed and work capacity — the three parameters that decide fights.
Through the Triphasic method and the right energy system training: no more choosing between power or gas tank.
Periodization builds toward your date. When it counts, you’re at your best.
Less soreness, back on the mat sooner. More training quality, less fatigue.
Most S&C coaches train one. We train all three, in the right ratio for your sport.
Explosive power for the first 10 seconds: the KO punch, the shot, the explosive takedown.
Repeated intensity from 10 sec–2 min. The combinations, the dominant rounds, the ground control.
The base that enables recovery between combinations, between rounds, across the full fight.
Most conditioning coaches only train the aerobic system — long endurance sessions, lots of cardio. That gives you a solid base, but not the explosiveness and work capacity combat sports demand.
At ProFormance, we deliberately train all three energy systems, in the right ratio for your sport. And we build that foundation through Triphasic Training, certified through Overload Worldwide.
How the three phases make you a better fighter
ECCENTRIC
Builds the strength reserves for explosive attacks and takedowns
ISOMETRIC
Strengthens positional power for clinch work, ground control and resistance
CONCENTRIC
Maximizes explosive power and speed in strikes, kicks and throws
For combat sports, the eccentric phase is especially valuable: it strengthens tendons and ligaments in the shoulders, knees and hips — the most injury-prone areas in combat sports. Fewer injuries, and the ability to train longer and harder.
Strength that directly translates to better performance in your combat sport — grip strength for grappling, explosive hip power for boxing, shoulder stability for clinch work. No generic strength training.
Targeted conditioning for all three energy systems — alactic, lactic and aerobic. Each system is trained at the right intensity and duration. No random cardio.
Combat sports demand a lot from tendons, joints and ligaments. Eccentric Triphasic Training structurally strengthens these structures — so you can train longer, harder and more consistently.
If you have a fight or tournament, we build the periodization around it. Build phase, intensive camp phase and taper — so you perform at your absolute peak on fight day.
If you have a fight or tournament, we structure the program into three phases built around your fight date.
Focus on strength building and aerobic base. The eccentric Triphasic phase strengthens connective tissue and builds the strength reserves the rest of camp requires. High volume, moderate intensity.
All three energy systems are maximally loaded. Lactic and alactic conditioning reach their peak. Strength converts into explosiveness. Volume drops, intensity maximizes.
Recovery takes center stage. Volume minimal, intensity high but brief. The body fully recovers while all adaptations are retained. On fight day you’re sharp, fresh and at your peak.
Strength and conditioning plan fully tailored to your combat sport, style and level. No generic templates.

Laying the foundation. Strengthening connective tissue. First strength gains already noticeable in training.
Positional strength and clinch strength built. Conditioning base rises. Less gassing between rounds.
Explosiveness and work capacity peak. Better performance on the mat is immediately noticeable.
All systems integrated. Recovery takes priority. On fight day or final testing, you’re at your absolute peak.
Yes, this is required. The Combat Athlete program is an S&C complement to your regular fight training. We align the load precisely with your training schedule, so you’re never overloaded. Clients typically train 2-3× per week S&C alongside their regular fight training.
Yes. If you have a fight or tournament planned, we build a camp preparation that culminates on your fight date. The three phases — build-up, intensive camp and taper are precisely aligned with when you need to perform at your peak.
Combat sports use three energy systems: the alactic system (explosive power for 0-10 seconds), the lactic system (repeated intensity for 10 seconds-2 minutes) and the aerobic system (the base for recovery and endurance). Most conditioning coaches only train the aerobic system. We train all three, in the ratio your sport requires.
Absolutely. The eccentric Triphasic Training at the core of our Combat Athlete program is especially effective for injury prevention. It strengthens the tendons, ligaments and joint structures most loaded in combat sports which are shoulders, knees, hips and ankles. Clients who previously had frequent injuries report an average 35% reduction after the program.
We train in Amsterdam. Online coaching is also available for anyone who prefers training from home or while traveling. Contact us for exact location details.
The program starts from €300 per 4 weeks, depending on frequency. Fight camp preparation has a specific structure — during your free intake we’ll discuss what fits best with your situation, fight date and budget.
